Course “Europe after Communism: democratic culture and integration” started

Course gives better understanding of process of institution building in post-communist countries and the role of civic education in Europe and promoting the European fundamental values. It describes democratic culture and integration in Europe after Communism, “Velvet” revolutions and political transformation, which have a lot of common and different with modern Ukrainian-Russian Crisis, that important for clear understanding modern situation in EU and Ukraine by students. The learning of this course gives a knowledges and skills concerning an effective activity in sphere of public policy and civil society, a communication with authorities, an implementation of success experience of democratic culture’s development and political institutions’ modernization.

Course description: Learning component consists of 3 ECTS (lectures – 30 hours, seminars – 24 hours, 36 hours of self-learning (scientific project).
